Engineering Equipment Operator Leader

  • Operate various Engineering and Heavy Mobile Equipment to include 2.5 ton truck, 1 to 1. 5 ton stake and platform truck, and 1 ton pickup truck.
  • Work to rough specifications on rugged terrain and to fine specifications from engineer stakes on flat or rolling terrain such as preparing graves or burial sections for turf.
  • Ensure that needed charts, plans, materials and tools are available, and that needed stock is obtained from supply locations.
  • Work alongside other employees and sets pace, performing non-supervisory work of the same type and level as that performed by the group led.
  • Review work throughout various stages of completion for compliance with supervisor's instructions; ensuring employees adhere to appropriate sequence, procedures, methods and deadlines.
  • Pass on instructions received from supervisor to other workers, demonstrating proper work methods and begins work.

  • Answer workers questions regarding procedures, policies, written instructions, and other directives such as technical orders.

  • Assist supervisor in preparation of administrative paperwork requirements involving labor and equipment utilization.
  • Assure that employees follow policies and procedures, including proper safety protocol. Ensures that machine capacities are not exceeded and that tools are properly used.
