On or around Monday, April 27, all drivers entering Arlington National Cemetery through the Service Complex "123" Gate — to include ANC personnel, authorized contractors and family pass holders — will encounter traffic route changes due to necessary Southern Expansion construction.
Direct access to the Service Complex Gate via Columbia Pike will be closed. Drivers will be rerouted to a new shared access road connecting to South Joyce Street. These route changes will be in effect until approximately early 2028.
Details
• Columbia Pike will no longer be directly accessible from the Service Complex Gate.
• The new road extends from the Service Complex Gate to the intersection of South Joyce Street and Columbia Pike.
• ANC personnel, authorized contractors and family pass holders will share this road with construction traffic. Please remain alert.
• The intersection at South Joyce Street will become an all-way stop. Outgoing traffic from the Service Complex Gate must stop at the stop sign.
• All current gate access points will remain unchanged.
Please refer to the maps below.

As always, we appreciate your patience and understanding. The DAR/Southern Expansion Project is complex and large-scale. Site conditions may require construction plans to change.
