Display of Moses Ezekiel's Sculpture at Arlington National Cemetery 

The U.S. Army has entered an agreement with the Commonwealth of Virginia under which Virginia loans one of Moses Ezekiel's historic sculptures for display at Ezekiel's burial site in Arlington National Cemetery. The Army expects to display the sculpture in 2027 after it has undergone complete refurbishment.

Ms. Karen Durham Aguilera Executive DirectorSince May 1864, Arlington National Cemetery has continuously interred or inurned nearly 430,000 people with honor in this sacred place, which has become a national shrine. Today I am proud to lead a workforce of dedicated professionals who pay tribute to our nation's heroes each day with dignity and respect. It is my responsibility to ensure that each and every veteran or their loved one laid to rest here receives the care, attention to detail and utmost professionalism that he or she has earned through service to this nation.

We are entrusted with this sacred duty, and every day we honor fallen heroes from current conflicts across the globe, as well as veterans of World War II, the Korean conflict, Vietnam and the Cold War, along with their family members.

I am honored to be the Executive Director of the Office of Army Cemeteries and Army National Military Cemeteries (Arlington National Cemetery and the United States Soldiers’ and Airmen’s Home National Cemetery).
