Arlington National Cemetery No Longer Requires Face Coverings to be Worn Indoors

Effective March 3, 2022, based on new Department of Defense (DOD) guidance, Arlington National Cemetery (ANC) is no longer requiring face coverings to be worn indoors, due to low community levels of COVID-19. This applies to all service members, federal personnel, contractors and ANC visitors. ANC will continue to follow OSD guidance and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines as we monitor COVID-19 conditions and will provide updates to policies as required.


ANC Parking Garage Payment Reinstatement

On Monday, February 7, 2022, Arlington National Cemetery reinstated payment for parking in the ANC Parking Garage, near the ANC Welcome Center on Memorial Avenue. Rates for the parking garage are $3 per hour, with a daily maximum of $12 a day for passenger vehicles. Commercial vehicles, such as tour buses and RVs, will have a rate of $10 an hour, with a daily maximum of $40.


Wreaths Out on January 22

ARLINGTON, VA—Nearly 38,000 members of the public placed 257,000 wreaths at Arlington National Cemetery last month for National Wreaths Across America Day. Next week, these wreaths will be retired. On Saturday, January 22, the public is invited to participate in the dignified removal of these wreaths. This event, Wreaths Out, will begin at 8 a.m.

ARLINGTON, VA – Wreaths Across America (WAA) will take place at Arlington National Cemetery (ANC) and the Soldiers’ and Airmen's Home National Cemetery (SAHNC) on two different days this year, one reserved for family pass holders and the other for the public. On National Wreaths Across America Day, ANC will be one of 3,100 participating locations nationwide where wreaths are placed by a volunteer at the base of a veteran’s headstone or columbarium niche to honor their legacy and remember their sacrifice. This will be the 30th year that the non-profit’s founder, Morrill Worcester, will be placing wreaths at ANC. The procession will take place along a special route inside Arlington National Cemetery.
