Arlington Cemetery Metro stop closed this weekend, Nov. 2-4, starting Friday at 10 p.m. thru system closing on Sunday
Metro will perform major track work over the weekend of November 2-4.
The work will begin at 10 p.m. Friday and continue through system closing on Sunday. Free shuttle buses will replace Blue Line trains between Foggy Bottom and Pentagon. Two stations - Rosslyn and Arlington Cemetery -- will be closed. Customers traveling through the work zone should allow 20-30 minutes of additional travel time for shuttle bus service.
Blue Line Shuttle: Between Foggy Bottom, Arlington Cemetery and Pentagon in a continuous loop until midnight each night. (No Rosslyn stop.) Late-night customers should travel via L'Enfant Plaza.
TRAVEL ADVICE FOR CUSTOMERS: This weekend, all Blue Line trains to or from Virginia will operate over the Yellow Line bridge -- between Mount Vernon Square and Franconia-Springfield -- in addition to regular Blue Line service between Foggy Bottom and Largo Town Center. While bus shuttle service is available, customers traveling between the District and Blue/Yellow stations in Virginia should consider the following alternate travel options: Traveling from DC or Maryland to Blue/Yellow stations in Virginia: Take a train to L'Enfant Plaza or Gallery Place, then transfer to a southbound Yellow or Blue train for service to your destination. These trains will depart from the upper level at L'Enfant Plaza and from the lower level at Gallery Place. Traveling from Blue/Yellow stations in Virginia to DC or Maryland: Take a Blue/Yellow train to L'Enfant Plaza or Gallery Place for appropriate rail connections to your destination.
