UPDATE: Air Force Memorial Closure Due to Southern Expansion Project

7/23/2025

The Air Force Memorial remains temporarily closed and will reopen on or about Sunday, Aug. 24, 2025, due to conditions at the Southern Expansion site. To ensure visitor safety during this key phase of construction, the main entrance to the Air Force Memorial will be inaccessible.

We kindly remind all pedestrians not to enter or cross the construction site in or around the Air Force Memorial.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue the DAR/Southern Expansion Project, a complex and large-scale initiative that may require adjustments to construction plans as needed.
