Display of Moses Ezekiel's Sculpture at Arlington National Cemetery 

The U.S. Army has entered an agreement with the Commonwealth of Virginia under which Virginia loans one of Moses Ezekiel's historic sculptures for display at Ezekiel's burial site in Arlington National Cemetery. The Army expects to display the sculpture in 2027 after it has undergone complete refurbishment.

Traffic Advisory: Army Birthday Parade Road Closures

On Saturday, June 14, the Army Birthday Parade will cause multiple road closures throughout the Washington, D.C. metro area. The following road closures will directly impact access to Arlington National Cemetery:

•  Friday, June 13, 6 p.m.—Sunday, June 15, 6 a.m.: George Washington Memorial Parkway will be closed between U.S. Route 50 and I-395 in both directions.

•  Friday, June 13, 12:01 a.m.—Monday, June 16, 6 a.m.: The Arlington Memorial Bridge (including the circle) will be closed.

•  Washington Boulevard, north of Route 110, as well as Boundary Drive, may also be impacted by closures throughout the weekend.

•  Memorial Avenue will remain open during this time.

We highly encourage ANC visitors to use the Metro during this timeframe.


Additional Information for Family Pass Holders, Pedestrians and ANC Employees

•  The Service Complex Gate will be open to family pass holders, employees and contractor vehicles on Saturday, June 14 and Sunday, June 15. Pedestrians may also enter through this gate.

•  Old Post Chapel Gate will be open for family pass holders with DoD ID cards throughout the weekend.
