Arlington National Cemetery is proud to announce our participation in the National Archives Museum’s Juneteenth Family Day event on Saturday June 17, 2023, from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm.
This event celebrates Juneteenth—the annual holiday commemorating the end of legal slavery in the United States. Educators from the National Archives and Arlington National Cemetery will be leading family-friendly activities to learn about and reflect on the legacy of Juneteenth. Joining us will be our partners from the National Park Service and several descendants of the enslaved families who lived at Arlington House.
This is event and free and open to all ages! It will be held in the Boeing Learning Center inside the National Archives Museum in Washington, D.C.
