Air Force Memorial Closed to Visitors March 23 – April 24

The Air Force Memorial will be closed to all visitors from March 23 to April 24 for cleaning and inspection of the spires. This closure impacts all visitors, including those arriving by vehicle or on foot. All events and ceremonies currently scheduled at the Memorial during this timeframe are canceled. Technicians climbing and descending the spires may be visible during maintenance and are a normal part of the process.


Construction Near Tram Boarding Area

From approximately March 10 to April 4, 2026, a pavement improvement project at Arlington National Cemetery will impact the area where visitors board the tour tram and graveside shuttle. 


Parking Garage Entrance and Exit Reduced to One Lane During Pavement Rehabilitation Project

From late Feb. until approximately mid-March 2026, a pavement rehabilitation project will impact vehicular and pedestrian traffic at the intersection of King Drive and Memorial Avenue, near the main entrance to Arlington National Cemetery.


Air Force Memorial Hours

The Air Force Memorial is currently open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. As of Feb. 15, 2026, however, the memorial will be open to the public during the following hours:

Arlington National Cemetery will open with some restrictions to visitors and family pass holders starting Tuesday, Feb. 10. Please review the following information and safety guidelines when planning your visit to ANC.


ANC Plans for Limited Reopening on Tuesday, Feb. 10

Arlington National Cemetery plans to reopen with modified access for visitors and family pass holders beginning Tuesday, Feb. 10. However, please be advised that some sites and sections may remain temporarily inaccessible due to snow and ice.  The tram plans to stop at key sites (Memorial Amphitheater, Kennedy gravesites, and Arlington House); however, other stops may be suspended to discourage visitors from walking in hazardous, icy sections. The graveside shuttle will not operate until the icy conditions improve and sections are safer and more accessible for walking.


ANC Closed to Visitors/Family Pass Holders Through Feb. 9

Arlington National Cemetery will remain closed through Monday, Feb. 9. Funeral services will continue as scheduled.

Due to extremely cold temperatures, Arlington National Cemetery will be closed to visitors and family pass holders on Monday, Jan. 26 and Tuesday, Jan. 27. Funerals will continue as scheduled.

Due to inclement weather, Arlington National Cemetery will close to visitors and family pass holders at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 24 and will remain closed all day on Sunday, Jan. 25 and Monday, Jan. 26.
